Invitations

 

This is a “By Invitation” only event.  We have changed the format of this year’s invitation.  You will find two stubs at the end of the invite.  The stubs are all you will need to get into the Margarita Ball - one stub per person.

DO NOT LOOSE THEM!

Get a ROOM!

 

We STRONGLY encourage all our guests to get a ROOM for the evening or weekend stay!  At $129 a night!

Entrance to the Ball

 

This year we will have TWO Entrances to the Margarita Ball:

Þ    The Second Floor (main level) Sky Bridge – as in years past.

Þ    The First Floor (lower level) - street entrance – across Olive Street from the Hotel Valet.

Coat Checks will be available near each entrance.

Reentry – Wrist-Band

 

You may leave the Ball at any time however if you would like to return, please make sure that you have a Wrist-Band on your wrist before you exit.

 Re-entry will require a Wrist-Band - no exceptions.

Will Call

 

For your convenience, a Will Call table will be set up in the Hotel Lobby opening at 1:00 PM.

Formal Event - Black Tie!

 

For the Gentlemen, Black Tie is STRONGLY suggested – as in a Tuxedo - at a minimum a dark suit and tie is acceptable.  No “Texas Tuxedos”, no Denim, No Hats.  No exceptions.

 

For the Ladies – evening gowns, long or short, and sequins are definitely appropriate!  You can not be overdressed!

 

If you are inappropriately dressed, you will be turned away!

No Smoking

 

Sorry, Dallas City Ordinance no longer permits smoking indoors – you will need to exit the building and smoke outside.

Toys

In the spirit of the Ball, we ask that each of you find it within your heart to donate a toy valued at $35 per person.  You may also make a monetary donation instead for $35 per person or $70 per couple.

 

Toys for a boy or girl between the ages of 8 and 12, unwrapped.

What Do We Do With All Those Toys?

 

“Love For Kids” receives the bulk of the toys and will host a Christmas Party for the under-privileged at-risk children of the Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex.

 

Saturday December 12th, 2009 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Cash Bar & Drink Tickets

 

In addition to our complementary libations, Cash Bars will be available to you on both floors of the Ball.

You may purchase drink tickets at the Hotel Check-In Area.

 

We ENCOURAGE all our Guests – PLEASE get a ROOM!

Midnight Breakfast

 

A Midnight Breakfast will be set up in the Austin Ballroom.

 

It is located on the Second Floor close by the escalators near the Sky Bridge.

 

From Midnight to 2:00 AM - the cost is $14 per person.

Pre-Parties & After-Parties

 

Many of our Guests, Sponsors, and Directors have Pre-Parties and After-Parties.  If you plan on having a Pre-Party or After-Party, with more than 10 people in your room, then you must contact the Dallas Margarita Society to do so.


Please Note:

 

A Ball Invite or Sponsor Ribbon/Pin or Re-Entry Wrist-Band DOES NOT allow you access to any Pre-Party or After-Party.  These are private affairs and you must receive a Special Wrist-Band for that party from the Party Host.
